Discover Bangkok in 10 days
Ten days in Bangkok is an opportunity to dive into the heart of the capital, but also to explore its surroundings: floating markets, unknown temples, excursions in the jungle or to the ancient royal cities.
This program combines culture, gastronomy, relaxation and unusual discoveries for a rich and balanced trip.
Day 1 – First steps and first temples
Arrival in Bangkok, check in at the hotel, then discover the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, two symbols of the city.
Then walk to Wat Arun by the river. The view at sunset is unforgettable.
In the evening, dinner on a cruise ship for a first romantic immersion on the Chao Phraya.
Day 2 – Local life and markets
In the morning, excursion to the Amphawa floating market. Less touristic than that of Damnoen Saduak, it offers a more authentic atmosphere.
In the afternoon, visit the Maeklong market, famous for its train that passes in the middle of the stalls!
In the evening, stroll through Chinatown for a street food feast.
Day 3 – Shopping and Relaxation
Morning in the shopping centers of Siam or Central World, ideal to escape the heat.
In the afternoon, traditional Thai massage and a walk to Lumphini Park.
In the evening, rooftop at the Octave Bar of Marriott Sukhumvit: panoramic view and lounge atmosphere.
Day 4 – Unknown temples and local culture
Discover Wat Ratchanatdaram and Wat Saket, superb temples but often forgotten tourist circuits.
Then visit the National Museum of Bangkok, rich in art and ancient objects.
Dinner in the neighborhood of Banglamphu, very lively, with street music and local atmosphere.
Day 5 – Ayutthaya, ancient capital of Siam
Day trip to Ayutthaya, 80 km from Bangkok.
The ruins of this ancient royal city classified by UNESCO are spectacular: red brick temples, Buddha statues, tree roots invading the walls.
Return to Bangkok at the end of the day.
Day 6 – Modern neighborhoods and galleries
Discover the Bangkok Art & Culture Center (BACC), a space dedicated to contemporary art.
Have lunch at Terminal 21 before walking around the Sukhumvit district, a mix of elegance and modernity.
In the evening, explore the night market of the the Riverfront, nice for dinner by the water.
Day 7 – Walk on the khlongs and local life
Take a boat for a walk on the khlongs, these canals that cross the old Bangkok.
You will discover a peaceful and authentic face of the city, far from the hustle and bustle.
In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Thai Arts or a local cooking workshop to learn how to prepare a pad Thai.
Day 8 – Relaxation, well-being and gastronomy
Treat yourself to a relaxing day: traditional spa, massage with oils, lunch in a panoramic restaurant.
In the late afternoon, visit the Skywalk of the King Power Mahanakhon, the tallest tower in Thailand with glass floor.
The view at sunset is breathtaking.
Day 9 – Nature getaway in Kanchanaburi
Excursion to Kanchanaburi to discover the famous Bridge of the Kwai River, the Erawan waterfalls and the jungle landscapes.
It is a day rich in emotions, between history, nature and a total change of scenery.
Day 10 – Last moments and memories
Last Thai breakfast, then stroll to the local market to buy souvenirs: silks, teas, spices, handicrafts.
A last massage before the return flight, or a last walk along the river.
Bangkok is lived with the senses: the sounds, the scents, the warmth, the colors. Ten days are enough to become deeply attached to it.
