Table of Contents

Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World (formerly known as Siam Ocean World), located inside the Siam Paragon in central Bangkok, is one of the largest aquariums in Southeast Asia. In the basement of the huge shopping mall, you will find, among other things, a long 270-degree sub-oceanic tunnel, a 360-degree panoramic oceanarium, an 8-meter coral reef tank and a rainforest. This underground aquarium will enchant you with world-class innovations and over 30,000 marine animals from different aquatic regions of the world.

The aquarium is divided into 7 sections. The journey into the depths of the ocean begins in the “Weird and Wonderful” area, which houses an impressive collection of rare and strange sea creatures such as the anglerfish and the Japanese Pacific giant crab. The Deep Reef is home to some of the world’s most fascinating reef dwellers, including the batsifh, napoleon and king.

In the next “Living Ocean” area, you’ll discover how animals live in the ocean before moving on to the rainforest, home to brown prairie dogs, Mexican mirrorfish, American coypu and otters. Penguins and other marine mammals can be spotted in the rocky shore area. An undeniable attraction is the huge underwater tunnel, the largest in all of Asia, on which various species of sharks, rays and groupers circulate. In the last area “Sea Jellies”, you will find jellyfish in aquariums lit by LEDs.

In the oceanarium, there are of course other attractions. There is the possibility to swim with the fish, and to walk underwater with a special transparent helmet on your head. In each area, at specific times, there are demonstrations of feeding sharks, penguins, otters, rays. In the rainforest, you can feed the animals yourself.

The fun doesn’t stop at the aquarium. In addition, for an extra charge, there is a special 4D-Xventure cinema, where a special 25-minute screening offers an amazing experience. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, the virtual environment created by the theater provides unforgettable emotions during the screening.
