Bangkok planetarium

Planetarium and science museum

For families or science and astronomy enthusiasts, the Planetarium & Science Museum in Bangkok is the ideal place to spend a pleasant afternoon discovering many interesting things.

The center is spread over four buildings, but the planetarium, the oldest in Thailand, is especially popular. You can “travel into space”, retracing all the stages of the exploration of the universe, from the first moon landing to the last probes sent to Mars, thanks to interactive exhibitions and a weekly show in English. Although the facilities are somewhat outdated, the shows and exhibitions make extensive use of modern technologies, with amazing visual and sound effects.

The experience is also made magical by the atmosphere of the interior: images of the universe are projected on the ceiling of the central dome, giving you the impression of walking among the stars and planets!

In the sections of the science museum and the aquarium, you can “come back down to earth” to explore the world of animals and plants, starting with prehistoric dinosaurs up to marine biology, passing through interesting exhibitions dedicated to the world of insects, plants, robots and modern technology, etc. There are also several playgrounds for children. There are also several playgrounds for children where they can have fun in complete freedom.
